Our Story

God is Always Directing

Rob and I met on June 27th, 2021 while attending Sunday Mass at St. Louis Bertrand. He simply happened to see a friend on the opposite side of the church than he normally sat, and so he stayed there for Mass. I, being the creature of habit I am and being the first of the family to arrive, sat exactly where we normally sit, which happened to be one pew in front of Rob. I first noticed him when I saw him making some embarrassing faces to Robby, who was 6 months old at the time. However embarrassing they may have been though, Robby was getting quite a kick out of them, and I enjoyed watching Rob make him laugh. After Mass, Rob commented on the kids, and instantly Anthony took the opportunity to start investigating him. After saying goodbye, Lindsey chased him in the parking lot to give him my number. I was mortified. However, just a few hours later, he reached out to me, and everything that happened at church had been worth it. Sometimes, it takes a village to get anything started, and I’m grateful to Anthony and Lindsey for their role in introducing us. We have spent the past 2+ years discerning whether God was calling us to marriage, and we are so grateful to have discerned that He is indeed calling us to spend the rest of our lives together, to start a family, take on life’s adventures, and grow closer to Him with each passing day. Rob proposed on November 25th, 2023 at St. Martin of Tours after we prayerfully spent time in Adoration. I didn’t see it coming that day until I could feel his nerves in Adoration, but I was overjoyed. It only seems appropriate that he asked the first important question in front of the altar and tabernacle, as that is where we will make our lifelong vows to each other on November 2nd. We cannot wait to begin this journey together.
